Hello,

If you dilute Brown Royal 1:3 and you just want to hose it. You can leave it on for about 1-2 minutes on factory clear coated wheels. For chrome wheels, you can leave it on for 4-5 minutes. For unclearcoated polished aluminum wheels, dilute 1:8. Make sure the wheel is cool. It also depends on how dirty the wheels are. If you clean your wheels twice a week. Then you can increase the dilution ratio of 1:6 or more. The more you dilute Brown Royal, the longer the dwell time.

Joe:
Brown Royal cut 1:3 works great on my Honda Ridgeline factrory rims. Tried it tonight on my Accord factory rims. I let it dwell for about 3 to 4 min per wheel. It would remove the brake dust from the rims without agitation from me using a rag a each rim. I believe that for the car I am going to need to go with a 1:2 or 1:1 ratio to cut the brake dust more effectively.
