What's a good car wash soap
Can you please recommend a good car wash soap? Is it better to use a Wash and Wax soap or just a plain car wash soap.

Hi,
You can use a car wash soap. But it is better to use a wash and wax soap. If you are going to take the effort to wash your car, then why not wax it at the same time. Never use dish washing detergent like Dawn or Ivory liquid etc. These types of soaps are Hi Ph and will strip wax from your finish. They are made to cut grease on dishes and pots and pans. We manufacture a very good wash and wax soap. Its called Deep Purple wash and wax shampoo. Its very concentrated 1-2 ounces per gallon of water. Deep Purple leaves a high gloss water beading shine after rinsing. The wax contained in Deep Purple also acts as a water softening agent. Therefore you will get no water spotting and is excellent if you use hard water. If you have a good finish on your car, you will see water beading shine for up to 30 days. Deep Purple wash and wax is the best wash and wax soap on the market. You can view it on our website at www.flashwax.com .

Thanks
Hi Joe,
Thanks for the info. I finally made it down to the store and I purchased the Deep Purple and I also bought the Grape Gloss Spray wax.
What a difference they made on my car. The next time I come in I will get that Brown Royal Wheel Cleaner. It was great meeting you.

Hi Kellie,
Deep Purple wash & wax shampoo and Grape Gloss spray wax is an excellent combination. You wont need to hand wax your car anymore with these products.
I will do a youtube video on these products. Thanks for coming in.

That Deep Purple is an excellent product. Just to confirm what Flashman said about not needing to hand wax your car, I'll tell you about a little experiment I did with my 94 Mustang GT
About 3 years ago I decided to do a fresh detail on her. I completely stripped her of all the wax by using a clay bar. After that was done, I washed the car with Deep Purple and dried it down. I then sprayed it down with water again and the water instantly beaded, almost as well as it did when I had applied Meguiar's #26 yellow wax.
For a wash and wax to provide that level of water beading, is a pretty serious accomplishment. Most "wash and wax" formulas are gimmicks in my opinion, but Deep Purple is a legitimately high end product that delivers on it's promises. You can't go wrong with it.
